        <h1>Wholesale Price Index shows divergent movement in Primary Articles and persistent inflation in Fuel & Power, affecting price monitoring.</h1> The WPI review for the week ended 14 January 2012 shows the Primary Articles index unchanged with a provisional year on year inflation of 1.89 percent; Food Articles rose slightly due to higher prices of certain cereals, millets, fish and milk while some fruits, vegetables and pulses declined; Non Food Articles fell led by flowers and raw fibres, and Minerals rose on stronger metal ore prices. Fuel & Power remained unchanged, maintaining a high point to point inflation rate. Detailed annexures set out weekly trends and build up inflation for major items.
