<h1>RBI Receives 25 Complaints on Fake Currency from ATMs; Agencies Collaborate to Combat Counterfeit Notes.</h1> The Reserve Bank of India reported receiving 25 complaints about counterfeit currency dispensed through ATMs between July 2008 and October 2011. These complaints have been addressed appropriately. To combat the issue of Fake Indian Currency Notes, various agencies, including the RBI, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Central Bureau of Investigation, are collaborating. The CBI serves as the nodal agency for coordination, while the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence leads intelligence efforts. Additionally, a special coordination group and a Terror Funding and Fake Currency Cell within the National Investigation Agency have been established to tackle these issues.
