Currently, the Government of India's Interest Subvention Scheme is limited to farmers for short-term crop loans up to Rs. 3 lakh for one year, aimed at boosting agricultural production. In the 2011-12 Budget, the Government announced the creation of a Women SHG Development Fund with a Rs. 500 crore corpus.
