of <h1>India Extends Deadline for DIN-4 Form Filing to Update PAN Details to December 31, 2011, Avoid Penalties by Feb 29.</h1> The Ministry of Corporate Affairs in India has extended the deadline for filing DIN-4 forms to update PAN details for Director's Identification Number (DIN) holders under the Companies Act, 1956, to December 31, 2011. Existing DIN holders must furnish their PAN by February 29, 2012, to avoid penalties. Relevant professional bodies and chambers of commerce are tasked with publicizing this extension. Since June 12, 2011, all DIN applications must be digitally signed and verified by practicing Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries, or Cost Accountants, with approvals processed online.
