This increases the total grant distributed in the current financial year to Rs. 50,283.92 crore, with a total of Rs. 86,201 crore planned for 2022-23. The grants, recommended by the Fifteenth Finance Commission, aim to bridge revenue gaps in states post-devolution. The states receiving these funds include Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.
