The container, examined at Kolkata port, was declared to contain heavy melting scrap but was found to have hidden narcotics within dismantled gearboxes. This method involved removing gears, placing narcotics in cavities, and refitting the gearboxes. The DRI continues examination and seizure under the NDPS Act, 1985, highlighting the evolving tactics of drug syndicates. Further investigation is ongoing.
