Based on the recommendations of the Vaidyanathan Task Force-II, the Government had approved the Revival Package for Long Term Cooperative Credit Structure (LTCCS) in February, 2009. However, a Task Force was constituted to examine the impact of the Agricultural Debt Waiver and Debt Relief Scheme (ADWDRS), 2008 and the implementation of the revival package for the Short Term Cooperative Credit Structure (STCCS) in the 25 implementing States on the Revival Package for the LTCCS. The Task Force has submitted its report. The Package is under consideration of the Government.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Finance, Shri Namo Narain Meena in written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today.

The Government approved a Revival Package for the Long Term Cooperative Credit Structure in February 2009; a Task Force was later appointed to examine the impact of the Agricultural Debt Waiver and Debt Relief Scheme and the implementation of short term cooperative revival measures in 25 implementing States on the LTCCS. The Task Force has submitted its report and the LTCCS Revival Package is under government consideration.
