<h1>Net Direct Tax collections surge 45% in FY 2022-23, reaching Rs. 3,39,225 crore by June 16, 2022.</h1> Net Direct Tax collections for the Financial Year 2022-23 have increased by over 45%, reaching Rs. 3,39,225 crore as of June 16, 2022, compared to Rs. 2,33,651 crore in the previous year. Gross collections grew by 40% to Rs. 3,69,559 crore. Advance Tax collections rose by 33% to Rs. 1,01,017 crore, while Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) collections increased by 46% to Rs. 2,29,676 crore. Self-Assessment Tax collections also saw a 41% rise. Refunds issued amounted to Rs. 30,334 crore. Corporation Tax and Personal Income Tax, including Security Transaction Tax, contributed significantly to these figures.
