<h1>Finance Minister Pushes for Enhanced Credit Flow, Sets Agricultural Credit Target, Promotes MSE Support and Financial Inclusion.</h1> The Union Finance Minister addressed Chief Ministers of Eastern states and banking CEOs in Kolkata, focusing on enhancing credit flow and financial inclusion. Emphasizing agricultural credit, a target of Rs. 4,75,000 crore was set, with Rs. 2,23,380 crore already extended. The Minister highlighted the need for improved credit flow to Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), especially micro enterprises, and urged states to promote housing loans and insurance coverage. The Swabhiman initiative aims to provide banking services to 73,000 habitations by 2012. Efforts to expand Regional Rural Banks and improve the Credit Deposit Ratio were also discussed, alongside promoting e-payment systems and addressing project delays.
