of <h1>PLI Scheme for Air Conditioners and LED Lights Reopens for Applications; Boost to Domestic Manufacturing and Jobs.</h1> The government has reopened the application window for the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for White Goods, specifically for air conditioners and LED lights, from March 10 to April 25, 2022. This initiative, part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign, aims to boost domestic manufacturing and job creation. Initially approved in April 2021, the scheme has a budget of Rs. 6,238 crore and will run until 2028-29. Previously, 42 companies were selected with a total committed investment of Rs. 4,614 crore. The reopened window offers a second chance for investors to apply under the same conditions as before.
