On the basis of applications filed by the domestic industry, Directorate General of Anti-Dumping & Allied Duties (DGAD) initiated 272 anti-dumping investigations (as on 25.11.2011).
The action taken by DGAD is given as under:

DGAD conducts investigations and recommends imposition of duty, wherever appropriate, to the Department of Revenue by issuing its preliminary/final findings. Acting upon such recommendations of the DGAD, the Department of Revenue may impose the provisional or definitive duties. Currently, in 112 cases, anti-dumping duty is in force, while in 144 cases anti-dumping duty is not in force.
