The 71st Batch of IRS (Customs and Indirect Taxes) officers, comprising 35 members including 10 women, concluded their training at the National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics in Faridabad. The ceremony was presided over by the Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, who emphasized the importance of continuous learning and data-driven decision-making. The event featured speeches highlighting hard work, dedication, and resilience, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Five officers received awards for exceptional performance, with one receiving the Finance Minister's Gold Medal for best overall performance.
