Wheat production increased by 16.58 million tonnes, pulses by 4.07 million tonnes, and rice by 7.39 million tonnes. This growth was attributed to new schemes like the National Food Security Mission, National Project on Management of Soil Health Fertility, and the National e-Governance Plan in Agriculture. These initiatives aimed to enhance production and promote sustainable agricultural practices, with plans to continue these efforts in the 12th Plan.
