This project readiness financing loan aims to prepare and design the Aizawl Sustainable Urban Transport Project. It will develop a Comprehensive Mobility Plan to address urban transport challenges caused by rapid and unplanned urbanization, such as traffic congestion and road safety issues. The project will focus on sustainable solutions, including climate and disaster resilience and gender inclusiveness. The initiative also aims to strengthen the institutional capacity of Mizoram's Urban Development and Poverty Alleviation Department.
