SHG loan regularity reflects strong repayment discipline and increased average outstanding under the SHG Bank Linkage Programme. The SHG Bank Linkage Programme records sustained portfolio performance with over ninety five percent of SHG loan accounts regular as of 31 March 2011; average loan outstanding per SHG increased from March 2010 to March 2011. Agency wise outstanding loans and average exposures for commercial banks, regional rural banks and cooperative banks are reported, and timely recovery is attributed chiefly to peer pressure mechanisms within SHGs.
