<h1>India Approves 18 FDI Proposals Worth Rs. 2,126.20 Crore; Major Unitech Wireless Proposal Awaits Further Review.</h1> The Indian government approved 18 foreign direct investment (FDI) proposals totaling approximately Rs. 2,126.20 crore, based on the Foreign Investment Promotion Board's (FIPB) recommendations from a meeting on November 15, 2011. These approvals span various sectors, including corporate affairs, economic affairs, financial services, information technology, steel, revenue, commerce, information broadcasting, consumer affairs, and telecommunications. Notably, a significant proposal from Unitech Wireless, valued at Rs. 8,250 crore, is recommended for Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs consideration. Additionally, 16 proposals were deferred, 11 rejected, and two withdrawn from the agenda.
