<h1>India Approves Rs. 9,800 Crore Livestock Package to Boost Sector Growth, Infrastructure, and Support Farmers by 2026.</h1> The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, led by the Prime Minister, has approved a special livestock sector package to enhance the growth of the livestock sector over the next five years, starting from 2021-22. The package involves a government commitment of Rs. 9,800 crore to leverage a total investment of Rs. 54,618 crore, including contributions from various stakeholders. The schemes will be restructured into three categories: Development Programmes, Disease Control, and Infrastructure Development Fund. The initiatives aim to improve indigenous breed conservation, enhance dairy infrastructure, and support rural farmers, benefiting millions of milk producers and creating new infrastructure in thousands of villages.
