<h1>India's FY 2020-21 Direct Tax Collections Rise 5% to Rs. 9.45 Lakh Crore, Surpassing Revised Estimates.</h1> Provisional Direct Tax collections for the Financial Year 2020-21 in India have shown a growth of nearly 5%, reaching Rs. 9.45 lakh crore, which is 104.46% of the revised estimate of Rs. 9.05 lakh crore. The collections include Rs. 4.57 lakh crore from Corporation Tax and Rs. 4.88 lakh crore from Personal Income Tax, including Security Transaction Tax. Gross collections before refunds are Rs. 12.06 lakh crore. Despite COVID-19 challenges, Advance Tax collections grew by 6.7% to Rs. 4.95 lakh crore. Refunds issued increased by 42.1% to Rs. 2.61 lakh crore compared to the previous year. These figures are provisional and subject to final adjustments.
