<h1>World Bank Loans $2.5 Billion to India for COVID-19 Health, Social Protection, and Economic Stimulus Support.</h1> The World Bank has provided three loans totaling $2.5 billion to India to aid its COVID-19 response. The loans include $1 billion for health measures, $750 million for social protection, and $750 million for economic stimulus. The health loan, signed in April 2020, has disbursed $502.5 million to date. The social protection loan, signed in May 2020, has been fully disbursed to support the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package. The economic stimulus loan, signed in July 2020, has also been fully disbursed to support MSMEs under the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Package.
