of <h1>MCA Updates Companies (Cost Records and Audit) Rules, 2014; Changes in Forms CRA-1 and CRA-3 Effective October 2019.</h1> The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) amended the Companies (Cost Records and Audit) Rules, 2014, due to the implementation of GST and other procedural changes. This led to revisions in forms CRA-1 and CRA-3. The amendment, effective from October 15, 2019, was announced by a government official in a Lok Sabha reply. Companies that filed their Cost Audit Report in form CRA-4 for the 2018-19 financial year before this date are exempt from refiling. The notification is publicly available on the MCA website.
