The Commerce and Industry Minister visited Stockholm to attend the 19th Indo-Swedish Joint Commission, engaging with Swedish government and industry leaders to strengthen bilateral cooperation. The discussions emphasized the adoption of Swedish innovative technologies in India, particularly in infrastructure, smart cities, healthcare, and transport systems. The Minister highlighted India's plans for housing, power, and education, urging Swedish firms to offer cost-effective solutions. The Swedish Minister for Business, Industry and Innovation, and the Minister for Foreign Trade expressed interest in expanding trade, aiming for a bilateral trade target of USD 5 billion in five years. Swedish companies showcased advancements in rail technology applicable to India.
