Loans to Rural Poor
The ratio of the loan disbursed to the Small and Marginal Farmers to the total loan disbursed by the Government financial institutions and Self Help Groups during the last two years and the current financial year is given as under: (Rs. Crore)

Loans to small and marginal farmers rising, increasing share of agricultural credit and stronger SHG credit linkage noted. Loans to Small and Marginal Farmers have increased as a proportion of total disbursements by government financial institutions and Self Help Groups, showing an upward trajectory in the share of agricultural lending to that beneficiary category. The release also records credit linkage and aggregate loan amounts to Self Help Groups, noting numbers of SHGs credit linked and corresponding loan totals, sourced from a national development bank publication and provided in a parliamentary written reply.Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
