Subsidy to Farmers
Considering the special needs of the Indian farmers, the Government has been providing them interest subvention on short term crop loans. The quantum of subsidized agricultural loans disbursed by banks during the last three years is as under:

Interest subvention for short-term crop loans continues; government reports annual disbursements by bank category data. The Government provides interest subvention on short-term crop loans; banks' subsidized agricultural loan disbursements are reported by bank category (Public Sector Banks and Cooperative Banks including RRBs) with annual totals for 2008-09, 2009-10 and provisional 2010-11 figures. of Press 'Enter' after typing page number.
