UK Accountants Delegation Calls on Dr. M.Veerappa Moily

A delegation of Accountants headed by Mr. Ian Gomes, Partner Chairman, High Growth Markets from the United Kingdom (UK) today called on Union Corporate affairs Minister Dr. M .Veerappa Moily and expressed its desire to have regulators exchange programme on regular basis between India and UK. The delegation also desired to have exchange of professionals and training programmes of Chartered Accountants between the two countries.

Welcoming the delegation DR. Moily said since the potential of India in this field is enormous and for this purpose the Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants (IICA) could be the nodal agency. He also advised the delegation to visit the Manesar (Gurgaon) campus of IICA.

Regulatory exchange programme between India and UK sought to enable chartered accountant training and professional exchanges. A UK accountants delegation requested a regular regulatory exchange programme with India to facilitate regulator interaction, professional exchanges, and joint training programmes for Chartered Accountants; the Minister proposed the Indian Institute of Chartered Accountants as the nodal agency and invited the delegation to visit the IICA Manesar campus.
