Foreign Companies in India

               

        The Minister of State in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs Shri R.P.N. Singh today informed the Lok Sabha that  820 foreign companies have been registered during the last three    years.

 

                The Government has received Rs.  6.91 crore, Rs. 9.56 crore and    Rs. 8.24 crore respectively, in the last three years(2008, 2009 and   2010) by way of filing/registration charges.

                The detail of such Foreign Companies operating  in India  at present, statewise companies is as under:

                The Minister was replying to a written question on the number of foreign companies operating in India at present, State-wise;                 the number of foreign companies registered during the last three years;  whether the Government has received revenue from the foreign companies by way of fees/charges for filing/registering various documents; and the details of amount received from these companies during each of the last three years?

Foreign company registration shows recent registration volumes and annual filing fee receipts, with statewise distribution reported. Foreign company registration activity in India is reported, noting 820 foreign companies registered during the preceding three years and annual government receipts from filing/registration charges during that period. A statewise inventory as of 18 August 2011 lists counts by state and territory and aggregates to a national total of 3138 foreign companies, reflecting the geographic distribution of registered foreign entities and associated fee-income from statutory filings.
