Bilateral trade between India and the United States during 2010-11 and 2011-12 (P) is as under:-

During the Second India – US Strategic Dialogue held in July 2011 with U.S. Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, the two sides lauded the growth in trade and investment flows in both directions.  They welcomed the increase and the balanced and positive growth in bilateral trade in 2010.  They also acknowledged the enormous potential for further expansion and reiterated their commitment to take steps to expand trade ties further

This information was given by the Minister of State in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today.

Bilateral merchandise trade between India and the United States expanded in 2010-11 with increases in exports, imports and overall trade turnover. At the Second India-US Strategic Dialogue, officials welcomed growth in trade and investment flows, noted potential for further expansion, and reiterated a mutual commitment to pursue measures to deepen commercial ties and promote continued increases in bilateral trade and investment.
