<h1>Delhi High Court Halts Non-Basmati Rice Exports; Interim Order Stops Allotments Pending Further Hearings.</h1> The Empowered Group of Ministers in India approved the export of 10 lakh tons of non-basmati rice with a Minimum Export Price of USD 400 per ton. Exports will be conducted by private entities on a commercial basis, requiring prior registration with the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). Applicants must provide irrevocable letters of credit and a performance bank guarantee. A maximum of 1.25% of the total quantity can be allocated per applicant. However, the Delhi High Court issued an interim order halting allotments pending further hearings. This was disclosed by the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry in a parliamentary response.
