Standing Committee on Commerce Invites Suggestions of Public on “Performance of Plantation Sector – Tea and Coffee Industry
The Department Related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Commerce, headed by Shri Shanta Kumar, M.P. has taken up the subject of “Performance of Plantation Sector – Tea and Coffee Industry” for examination and report.
For wider consultations, the Committee invites views/suggestions/comments from experts/institutions/organisations interested in the subject matter.
Those desirous of submitting their views and suggestions to the Committee may send their written memoranda (either in English or Hindi) on the above subject to Dr. (Smt.) Subhashree Panigrahi, Joint Director, Rajya Sabha Secretariat, Room No. 539, Fifth Floor, Parliament House Annexe, New Delhi – 110001 (Tel: 23034093 and Fax: 23014948) or e-mail at [email protected] within fifteen days from the date of publication of this Press Release.
The memorandum submitted to the Committee shall form part of the records of the Committee and shall be treated as confidential and shall not be circulated or disclosed to anyone, violation of which shall constitute a breach of privilege of the Committee.
Those willing to give oral evidence before the Committee, besides sending Memoranda, are requested to indicate so. However, the Committee’s decision in this regard shall be final.
