<h1>Minister Calls for Cutting Red Tape to Boost India's Economy; Announces Committee to Identify Unproductive Regulations.</h1> The Commerce Industry and Civil Aviation Minister highlighted the need to eliminate unproductive regulations hindering India's potential to become a ten trillion dollar economy. Speaking at the PHD Chambers' Annual Session, he announced a standing committee to identify such regulations and urged industry cooperation. Despite improvements in ease of doing business, challenges remain, especially at the district level. A pilot project in six districts across five states aims to boost district growth by 3%, enhancing national GDP and job creation. The Minister stressed the importance of environmental protection and presented the PHD annual excellence awards for 2018.
