<h1>Government Extends Deadline for Valuation Services Registration Under Companies Act 2013 to September 30, 2018; New Exams Announced.</h1> The Central Government, through a Gazette Notification, implemented the Companies (Registered Valuers and Valuation) Rules, 2017, allowing individuals rendering valuation services under the Companies Act, 2013, to continue without a registration certificate until 31st March 2018. This deadline was extended to 30th September 2018. The Rules do not affect valuations conducted under other laws unless specified. Meanwhile, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India has introduced valuation examinations for three asset classes, enabling eligible individuals to apply for registration as registered valuers according to the Rules.
