<h1>Drug demand reduction and illicit trafficking prevention: bilateral MoU enables cooperation and information exchange to curb trafficking.</h1> Approval is granted for a Memorandum of Understanding between India and Nepal establishing a bilateral framework for drug demand reduction and prevention of illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursor chemicals. The MoU defines areas of cooperation, identifies competent authorities for implementation, and provides mechanisms for operational, technical and general information exchange, including sharing laws, procedures, best practices, and cooperation on prevention, treatment and rehabilitation.
