To support this sector, the government has reconstituted the Development Council for Pulp, Paper, and Allied Industries and oversees the Central Pulp and Paper Research Institute, which promotes research and development. These initiatives were detailed by the Commerce and Industry Minister in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.
