The subsidised LPG rate in Delhi rose from Rs. 446.65 to Rs. 477.46 per 14.2-kg cylinder. Under the previous tax regime, LPG had zero excise duty and varied VAT rates, but GST imposes a 5% tax on subsidised LPG, raising prices in states where VAT was previously lower. In Mumbai, prices increased by Rs. 14.28 due to a prior 3% VAT. Households receive 12 subsidised cylinders annually, with market rates applying beyond that.
