The corresponding rate for the previous day (May 12, 2017) was ₹ 64.3043.

Reference exchange rate published for the US dollar, used to derive cross currency and SDR Rupee rates. The monetary authority published the official reference rate for the US dollar on May 15, 2017 and provided corresponding previous day data. It used that US dollar reference rate and middle rates of cross currency quotes to derive exchange rates for the euro, pound sterling and Japanese yen against the rupee. The release specifies that the SDR Rupee rate will be based on the published reference rate and is issued as an official press release to set the benchmark for currency conversion and reporting.
