<h1>NITI Aayog Committee Recommends Closing 26 CPSEs; Offers Skill Development for Affected Employees Under CRR Scheme.</h1> A committee established by NITI Aayog on March 9, 2016, evaluated the financial performance of 74 Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) and found it unsatisfactory. Many of these enterprises have relied on budgetary support, straining government resources. Consequently, the committee recommended the closure of 26 CPSEs. To assist affected employees, the Central Sector Scheme of the Department of Public Enterprises offers skill development training under the Counseling, Retraining, and Redeployment (CRR) Scheme. This initiative supports employees opting for Voluntary Retirement or Separation Schemes and extends training opportunities to their dependents.
