<h1>Government Announces Mahila Shakti Kendra Initiative with Rs. 500 Crore Budget to Empower Rural Women in India.</h1> Mahila Shakti Kendra will be established at the village level with a budget allocation of Rs. 500 crores in 14 lakh ICDS Anganwadi Centres, as announced in the 2017-18 General Budget. This initiative aims to empower rural women by providing convergent support services, including skill development, employment, digital literacy, health, and nutrition. Additionally, under a nationwide scheme, Rs. 6,000 will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of pregnant women who undergo institutional delivery and vaccinate their children. The overall budget for women and children's welfare has increased from Rs. 1,56,528 crores to Rs. 1,84,632 crores.
