Infant and maternal mortality rates are also set for reduction. Plans include transforming 1.5 lakh Health Sub Centres into Health and Wellness Centres, increasing postgraduate medical seats, and establishing new AIIMS in Jharkhand and Gujarat. Amendments to the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules will ensure affordable drug prices and promote generic medicine use, alongside new regulations for medical devices to attract investment and reduce costs.
