Investigations led to the discovery of two factories in Bawana and Peera Garhi, resulting in the recovery of fake Rs. 5 and Rs. 10 coins worth Rs. 6,37,500 and Rs. 8,000, respectively. Legal cases have been filed under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The government has issued a Gazette Notification specifying the standard weight and composition of Rs. 10 coins, with authenticity verifiable through metal composition analysis. This information was provided by a Minister of State in response to a question in the Lok Sabha.
