In response, RBI has established a Cyber Security and IT Examination Cell and issued a comprehensive cyber security framework for banks. This framework mandates banks to implement a cyber-security policy, crisis management plan, and promptly report cyber incidents. Additionally, RBI has created a Cyber Crisis Management Group and conducts cyber security preparedness testing with CERT-In. An IT Subsidiary has also been established to focus on cyber security within RBI and regulated entities.
