The policy eliminates the quantitative restrictions and the complex import licensing system for marble travertine blocks. The Minimum Import Price (MIP) for marble blocks is reduced to $200 per metric ton, while the basic customs duty increases from 10% to 40%. For marble slabs, the MIP is set at $40 per square meter, with customs duty rising to 20%. Granite slabs will have an MIP of $50 per square meter, with customs duty also increasing to 20%.
