The new agreement, signed on September 6, 2016, offers India concessions on 1798 tariff lines with a Margin of Preference (MoP) ranging from 30%-100%, while Chile receives concessions on 1031 tariff lines with MoP ranging from 10%-100%. This expansion is expected to significantly benefit India, which exports a diverse range of products to Chile. In 2015-16, bilateral trade was valued at $2.64 billion.
