Participants included representatives from the Reserve Bank of India, the Central Board of Excise Customs, and IT heads from 29 banks and the Goods and Services Tax Network. The discussion centered on the development of software and protocols for information exchange among these entities. Banks were instructed to ensure their IT systems are prepared to interface with the RBI, GSTN, and government accounting authorities by September 30, 2016.
