of <h1>Income Declaration Scheme 2016: Revised Tax Payment Schedule Announced, Extending Deadlines to September 30, 2017.</h1> The government has revised the payment schedule for the Income Declaration Scheme 2016 following concerns from stakeholders about the short timeframe for paying taxes, surcharge, and penalties by November 30, 2016. To alleviate the need for distress asset sales, the revised schedule requires 25% of the dues to be paid by November 30, 2016, another 25% by March 31, 2017, and the remaining balance by September 30, 2017. A notification formalizing these changes will be issued soon.
