<h1>NCLT and NCLAT draft rules under Companies Act, 2013, ready for implementation pending tribunal setup and legal commencement.</h1> The government established a committee on 17 July 2015 to review draft rules for the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) under the Companies Act, 2013. This includes rules for the revival and rehabilitation of sick companies, among others. The committee submitted its report and draft rules on 31 December 2015. The Ministry has reviewed these rules, and public consultations are complete. The implementation of these rules awaits the establishment of NCLT/NCLAT and the commencement of the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Repeal Act, 2003, as stated by the Minister of Corporate Affairs in the Lok Sabha.
