The government has advised ministries and the states of Maharashtra and Delhi to streamline regulations using business process reengineering and IT solutions. Key initiatives include integrating 20 services on the e-biz portal for single-window government clearances, merging company incorporation processes with Director Identification Number applications, and eliminating requirements for minimum paid-up capital and common seals for companies. This was disclosed by the Minister of State for Commerce and Industry in a Rajya Sabha session.
