<h1>Delhi and Madras High Courts Stay CCI's Penalties on Car Companies for Anti-Competitive Practices Totaling Rs. 2964.91 Crore.</h1> The Competition Commission of India (CCI) imposed penalties and issued cease and desist orders against 14 car companies for anti-competitive practices, totaling Rs. 2544.65 crore, as per its order on August 25, 2014. The companies have challenged the order, leading to a stay by the Delhi High Court and Competition Appellate Tribunal. Additionally, a penalty of Rs. 420.26 crore against another car company, Hyundai Motor India Ltd., from a July 27, 2015 order, has been stayed by the Madras High Court. This information was provided by the Minister of Corporate Affairs, Shri Arun Jaitley, in a Lok Sabha session.
