<h1>Bengaluru's Income Tax CPC Earns ISO 9001:2008 Certification for Quality Management, Boosting Tax Return Processing Efficiency.</h1> The Centralized Processing Centre (CPC) in Bengaluru, a key project of the Income Tax Department for tax return processing, has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certificate by the British Standards Institution. This certification covers all CPC business services and highlights its ability to consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements. Established in 2009, CPC has previously received ISO certifications for Information Security and Records Management. As of December 31, 2015, CPC processed 3.27 crore returns, an 18% increase from the previous year, and issued refunds in 1.81 crore cases, with 73% processed within 30 days.
