He also awarded the corporate leaders and social-entrepreneurs for their contribution in uplifting the standards of poor people and working at the grassroots levels. The Award function was organized by the All India Management Association (AIMA).

While congratulating the award winners, the Minister commended AIMA for its major role to play and a network over 3000 institutions and over 30000 individual professionals. He said that we need to train over 500 million in the next 10 years to meet the global demand for skilled manpower as India’s two-third people are demographically young. Shri Sharma appreciated AIMA’s role in helping Indian enterprise to keep their management approach and practices alive.

Shri Sharma stated that we have sustained economic growth of 8-9% and we are working on to build India the manufacturing capital of the world so that more and more jobs can be created to use the global opportunities. He emphasized that global fulcrum of economic growth is shifting fast and we are ready for the challenges and opportunities. For India to play an important role it has to be the home of large number of significant business investments.
