<h1>India and Germany to Revise Double Taxation Pact; Focus on Secret Bank Accounts Information Sharing.</h1> The Union Finance Minister met with his German counterpart during the G-20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in Paris to discuss revising the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA) with Germany. The Indian minister emphasized the importance of Germany providing information on Indian citizens with bank accounts in Liechtenstein and requested the amendment of the DTAA to allow sharing of such information with Indian enforcement agencies. The German Finance Minister agreed to initiate negotiations for the amendment and assured cooperation in sharing information on secret bank accounts held by Indian citizens.
