of <h1>ICAI Partners with New India Assurance to Offer Discounted Professional Indemnity Insurance for Members and CA Firms.</h1> The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with New India Assurance Co. Ltd. to provide professional indemnity insurance for its members and CA firms. This agreement, signed on February 10, 2011, offers a cushioned insurance scheme at discounted rates. The insurance covers individual members up to Rs 10 lakhs and CA firms, including partners, between Rs 1 to 2 crores. The scheme is renewable annually and is available to all ICAI members and CA firms.
